FIFTH ANNUAL GOLF WISCONSIN WEEKEND

Kids play for free, special hotel packages offered on May 31, June 1

MADISON, Wis. (May 15, 2008) - The fifth annual Golf Wisconsin Weekend is scheduled for May 31 and June 1. Throughout the weekend, kids can play nearly 50 statewide courses free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult. In addition, more than 65 Wisconsin hotels and resorts will offer special weekend packages during Golf Wisconsin Weekend. A list of participating courses and hotels can be found at travelwisconsin.com/golf.

Golf Wisconsin Weekend is sponsored by the Wisconsin Department of Tourism in conjunction with Golf Course Owners of Wisconsin (GCOW), the Wisconsin Section of the PGA and the Wisconsin State Golf Association (WSGA).

Participating hotels and resorts are members of the Wisconsin Innkeepers Association (WIA), a non-profit trade association consisting of approximately 1,000 hotels, motels, resorts, inns, and bed & breakfasts around Wisconsin.
